RULES OF POKER
Hand Ranking Rules:
The individual ranks of the cards are mostly used to get the value of hands that have either combinations or no pairs. The ace can only play low in the ace-to-five and the ace-to-six ball games. It can only play high in the deuce-to-seven game. Individual cards are given the ranking as A, which means it is high. The suits do not have any value. A hand always comprises of five cards. The remaining cards are of no value in choosing the winner. The hands are initially ranked on the basis of their category and then, by the individual card ranks. The minimum hand qualifying in a certain game, defeats the other hands in the lower categories. A poker hand has the same value, irrespective of the order of the cards that are received.
Betting:
The game of poker is played in turns. When a particular player’s turn arrives, the first declaration that is made by him is considered his choice. This choice cannot be changed after watching the other player’s reaction to the declaration. A player is allowed to fold up his game by way of surrendering his cards. The players are allowed to check by way of tapping the table. Bets cannot be made by placing chips directly in the pot.
Simplified Button Rule:
The simplified moving button rule is used as an adjustment, when one or more than one player leaves a blind game. The button always moves in the forward direction to its left. It has to move to the next player.
